Private gun ownership is allowed in Iran. But the people protesting are mostly the middle-class in Tehran, the rest seem to sadly enough support Ahmadinejad. The elections were probably not rigged as the STRATFOR report also indicates.

The thing is they didn’t. Most of the people in Iran are poor and live in rural areas, and they support Ahmadinejad. Sad but true, although Mousavi is as rotten as Ahmadinejad. It’s only the middle-class in Tehran that’s rioting. There was no election fraud.

Thank you for showing what’s really going on over there. We all know here in the states we can’t rely on the news to show anything that’s really happening. I commend the Iranians for sticking up for what’s right. It’s sad that most of the people here in the U.S are too pussy to stand up for something when they know it’s wrong. They just bitch and moan but never actually do something about it.

Look these people are realists. Chanting Allah hu Akbar is one way they might stay alive. The people protesting are both religious and non-relgious. Yes, Mousavi is no angel, but the protestors are stuck between a rock and a hard place. This was the only way they could criticise the regime.
Support the Iranian protestors. Write, petition, facebook. They deserve our support.
This is not about religion, Oil, Israel, or anything else. Its about them getting democracy.

johan404 – You can go on the web and see pictures of protestors in many Iranian cities – including Isfahan, which has one of the biggest squares in the country, rammed with demonstrators. Maybe Ahmadinejad would have won even in a fair vote, but the protestors are not only middle class Tehranis. Also people are scared. A poor person can’t bribe their way out if they are caught.
Support the Iranian protestors. I’ve been to Iran and met many many Iranians. They are not what you think.
